Botswana / Victoria Falls 2016

Here is the video I made of my trip to the Okavango Delta in Botswana and Victoria Falls. I tried to make it as short as possible but it is still 7 minutes! Hope it doesn’t tax your attention span.

As you will see, I saw loads of lions, very lucky about that. I could hardly go out the door without seeing some lions.

My favorite activity had to be the walking safari…when you are in the jeeps you can get closer to the animals, but when you are out walking you are like another animal. The VERY well-trained guides cannot carry weapons in Botswana, so you really have nothing to protect you except their knowing how to predict the animals’ actions.

I really liked Botswana as a country too, the government is the least corrupt in Africa, they were very organized, and seemed very interested to make your trip spectacular. All you have to do is show up and do what your guide tells you.

The first part of the trip I was solo and in Victoria Falls my friend Joris who lives in Tanzania met me there. Afterward we flew back to Tanzania and I spent a week on the island of Zanzibar. That was nice, but you’ve all seen a lot of beach photos so I didn’t include those here.

Leave (nice) comments below please! (ie. not about my sometimes shaky video work or editing transition skills)

OMG Aimee, it was such a beautiful video. Lion cubs were my favorite, and the Falls, and the baby elephant, and… well, everything! Truly, it felt as if I was right there “with” you. Looking forward to your next video 😉 xo Carol

Thanks! I wonder what life changing decisions I will make like you did after you went on safari.
