
Crooked homes. The picture doesn’t show how crooked they actually are — because the land is built on sand and other soft materials as the house settles you get all kinds of crazy lines. The pulley sticking out of the top is to lift the furniture when moving — Dutch stairs are really steep .

There were a lot of no photo signs — but here I caught one of the women standing in the window, in a swimsuit.

The Josef Hoffmann espresso coffee set that I want so bad, from 1930 — one of the pieces in the Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art.

I liked this one a lot too, by Jacob Bendien in 1912. I am thinking of trying to copy it when I get home.

Vermeer’s _Kitchen Maid_. Only 35 of his works survive. This is in the Rijksmuseum and was my favorite work there.
