Arrived in Wells as my first stop on my New England/Maritime Provinces tour.I have never been to Maine, New Hampshire, or Nova Scotia.

I am staying with a couple who are friends of mine in Columbus, this is their second home.

IT’S AMAZING.

Right on a private beach and has gorgeous views of the Atlantic.

I got here on Tuesday around noon after staying over in Lenox, Mass with a couch surfing host. That was also a great old Victorian house.

Julia & Kevin built their Wells house new and since she and I love the same colors, it is especially perfect for me.

We spent a number of hours walking on the beach. The water was too cold for me for swimming. They have two dogs, one of whom will play fetch for ever. He would get the ball and then drop it at your feet. If you kept walking, he would run behind you to get it and then run back around in front and drop it again. Over and over and over.

We also went up to Portland at their favorite restaurant with some friends of theirs. We then went to an amateur comedy club to support one of the restaurant’s server’s husband – accountant/comedian – need I say more? It was pretty bad.

The next day we drove around to look at the homes, some of them were so incredible on big properties on the water.

Just a gorgeous few days.

Thursday afternoon I left to head to Tamworth, NH.
